Another point raised by the Governor was the
method of redemption. In London a sinking fund would be definitely preferable to annual drawings and for a local issue annual drawings are only of advantage if the loan is issued at a discount. We shall deal with this at more length in replying to the suggestions in paragraph 3 of your letter of 17th December.
